Shaheen Nawaz
President
Shaheen Nawaz is a seasoned SCM professional working in Canada since 2000. He is passionate about serving the community and volunteering. From 2014 to 2017, he served as Director, Secretary, and then Vice President of the Islamic Centre of South Calgary (ICSC). He has also participated in various events under the banners of the Muslim Families Network Society (MFNS) and the Muslim Council of Calgary (MCC). Shaheen envisions a community that fosters a high degree of respect for all people, provides equal opportunity, and promotes harmony, unity, and trust while leveraging our collective strengths.
Iqbal Khan
Vice President
Iqbal Khan is an experienced IT professional with over 25 years in the field. He plays a pivotal role at AFF and manages a wide range of responsibilities. In addition to his work with AFF, Iqbal sponsors several charity projects in Pakistan. He has been part of AFF since early 2021, and before joining, he contributed to various charitable organizations in Calgary.
M. Afroz Alam
Secretary
Muhammad Afroz Alam is an Account Manager in a large private company and has expertise in Sales & marketing. Muhammad has been volunteered for various charitable organizations in Calgary. He began his journey with AFF alongside his extended family without formal designations. Gradually, with family and community support, this initiative evolved into the Food Drive and now grew into the Assured Family Foundation. Muhammad’s vision is to expand AFF to its fullest potential so that no one goes to bed hungry.
Mujahid Shafiq Malik

Mujahid Shafiq Malik brings extensive experience in accounting, finance, and marketing. Combined with his professional experience, Mujahid's Master of Business Administration (MBA) has equipped him with strong business acumen, proven leadership skills, and a deep commitment to community service. He is committed to supporting non-profit initiatives and contributing his expertise to strengthen AFF's financial management and governance. Known for his integrity, dedication, and forward-thinking approach, Mujahid is eager to introduce innovative improvements to AFF's accounting and financial processes. He is committed to enhancing operational efficiency, promoting transparency, and ensuring the organization's resources are managed responsibly and effectively. Mujahid aims to support AFF's mission of providing continuous assistance to families in need while helping the organization achieve sustainable growth and long-term success.
